The company created an original booking system for luxury resorts located throughout Poland. As time went on, the simple booking system was significantly expanded, causing the existing manual testing to become inefficient.

With a limited IT team, the company began looking for a solution that would reduce the amount of work required for testing. Undetected errors prevented reservations for accommodation, negatively affecting the business as well as the company's image — making regression testing a critical priority.

Reducing costs with BugBug.

In order to reduce the IT team's workload, the company was looking for a solution that would stabilize the testing of holiday booking systems. One option was to use the Protractor framework, but the costs and workload associated with creating and maintaining those tests exceeded expected figures.

The simplicity and speed of BugBug led to its selection. Another reason was the possibility of adapting the tests to the developments in the tested application.

How BugBug resolved the issue.

Using BugBug, fundamental tests of the booking system were created in only a few minutes — the test recorder worked flawlessly. More complicated tests of a multistage booking form were created very quickly using reusable components, producing a clear graph of the project's tested business path.

Tests are run in the cloud after every release of a new version of the holidaypark.pl application. As a result, the company does not have to maintain its own IT infrastructure for this specific purpose.
